OK – so if you read my last post you’ll see I had 10 days almost where I really wasn’t thinking about my weight, and my blood pressure was so high I was frankly nervous about exercising. I’d had a work colleague who had a stroke while running a marathon and didn’t want to take any risks.
My GP reassured me that regular exercise is great for dealing with high blood pressure, so I am now comfortable that I can start getting back on track with that.
I weighed in this morning at 18 stone 12.9 lbs (264.5 lbs, 120.4kgs). It’s about 0.4lbs down from my last weigh-in, which on the one hand obviously isn’t fantastic, but on the other hand also isn’t awful considering I haven’t been thinking about diet/exercise for 10 days.
And it’s also worth remembering that I’d had a pretty huge weight loss up front, so I was ahead of my target of 1.5-2lbs per week. I’m now at 4.9lbs lost in total, and just over 3 weeks so that puts me at an average of 1.6lbs per week lost!
While 5lbs doesn’t sound like a lot – it’s 10% of my target! So I just have to repeat this 9 more times and I’m done!
All-in-all I cannot complain about that, and now I have a week off so I can really focus on my exercise and diet and I’m sure that will get me back on track!
