For the last few weeks, my weight has been stuck in a bit of a plateau – I’ve lost a few lbs here and there, then put them back on, then a bit more. There are all kinds of potential explanations for this – one is that I’ve put on muscle mass due to the increase in exercise.
But with the recent late summer heatwave here in the UK I was motivated to get out and exercise every day as well as getting various jobs done in the garden (mowing the lawn, weeding, jetwashing the patio etc) – and just being more active I think has helped me break through so I am now heading in the right direction again!
I weighed in this morning and was at 18 stone 5.8 lbs (257.8 lbs / 117.2 kgs), which is a weight loss of 3.2 lbs / 1.45kgs since my last weigh in.
So at least I’m now under 18.5 stone, and under 260lbs. In total that’s 12lbs lost, which is almost 1/4 of my target weight loss of 50lbs! And when I lose the next 2lbs I’ll have officially lost 1 stone (14 lbs / 6.4 kgs).
I definitely feel the need to push myself while I’m motivated since I’ve now fallen under my average weight loss target which was 1.5-2 lbs per week. With the recent blip, my average has dropped to 1.2 lbs lost per week. That’s still not too far off my target and won’t take much of a push to get me back in the zone.
Anyway, I’m pleased to see the weight dropping again, even if it’s a bit slower than I’d like – at the end of the day the last thing I want to do is stress about it given my hypertension! 😀
