Another 4.3lbs closer! 6.6% of bodyweight lost!

I’ve just completed my second 36-hour fast, but before I did, I decided it was time for a cheeky weigh-in.

I know, I know, I only weighed in 4 days ago, but after the brown alert during my last fast, which I described yesterday, and then another very successful 36-hour fast, I felt sure I should see some movement. Ahem! But of the right kind this time. 😏

So, drum roll please…

Weigh in results: I now weigh 241.4lbs (109.73kg). That means, in just the last four days I have lost 4.3lbs (1.95kg)!!!

Bear in mind I had put on 0.4lbs (0.18kg) over the Christmas period, so we can cancel back out 0.4lbs of my current loss and still say that I lost almost exactly 1lb (0.45kg) per day in that period! 😁

That’s the second period, where I’ve been really laser-focused, that I’ve seen losses of around 1lb (0.45kg) per day. Obviously, that’s not likely to be sustainable over the very long term, but it’s giving me a huge motivation boost and the more I lose – especially while eating in a very diabetic-friendly way and fasting – the more my blood sugars will drop, which is ultimately the aim.

I’ve now lost over 6.4% of my starting bodyweight. Common guidance from diabetes medical professionals is to lose 10-15% of bodyweight. 85% of those who lose 15% of their bodyweight are able to fully reverse type 2 diabetes. It’s not a guarantee, but I’m confident I’ll be in that 85%.

So I’m well on track. and at this rate I should get to 15% anywhere between mid-February and mid-March!

But as I’ve said before, I’m not stopping there, I’m not taking any chances this time, and am still going to shoot for my ultimate target weight of 180lbs (82kg), which will mean losing around 77lbs (35kg) in total, representing almost 30 % of my starting body weight!! That’s not far off 1/3!!! πŸ₯³πŸΎπŸŽ‰

That will genuinely be life-changing and possibly even life-saving!
