A slow week…

My shoulder has flared up again after some good success at building back my swimming, and combined with another reasonably crap week weather-wise this has hindered training and motivation. A few lazy takeaway nights and booze sessions haven’t helped things either.

I finally pulled myself out of my funk and managed a 36hr fast again this week, and to be fair, even when I haven’t been doing “proper” fasts I have generally stuck to an OMAD schedule (one meal a day aka 23:1) or occasionally a more relaxed 20:4 schedule.

So I wasn’t too upset weighing in today to see that I’ve actually lost weight since my last post back on 5th August.

Definitely not as much as I’d hoped – just 1.5lbs (0.7kg) lost, but I’m not complaining. I’m now down to 18 stone 2lbs (254lbs / 115.2kg) and it looks like the best part of a week of dry days ahead. I fully intend to take advantage and get out on my bike every day or if not, to run/walk – since swimming is now back off the agenda at least for a while.

I had one ride on Wednesday so far and will definitely get out today (Friday) and try and build into a routine.

I have less than 2 weeks left now until I start my new job so I really want to get into the habit of good habits before that starts otherwise I will struggle.

Having fasted 36 hrs from Wednesday until Thursday lunchtime, I started a new fast immediately – currently at 22 hours in and not intending to break fast until tonight at 9.30pm since I’m out at my favourite cinema, The Everyman, and looking forward to burger night with their Spielburger menu! So that will be another 30 hour fast and hopefully in spite of that I should still be able to see some solid weight loss progress over the next few days.
